Booster Bath Elevated Pet Bathing X-Large, Blue. Made in The USA

First let me tell you about my dog. He is a 95 lb. German Shepherd and has never met a bath (or shower) that he liked. Giving him a bath was, to put it mildly, a real job. Since he developed a seborrhea skin condition about a year and a half ago I had to bath him often to keep the odor and flaking under control. Up until that time he did not get many baths so when I had to bath him regularly I realized that I had problems (a sore back and a big mess). I then started looking for some kind of canine bath apparatus and found the BoosterBath. After reading the reviews it seemed like a very good product. I purchased the extra large version because it had a one piece tub and the legs bolted on and I wanted a bath that gave my dog enough room and was sturdy. The XL unit is a good size for him and it is quite sturdy. I only use it outside and it stands on level lawn. Assembly was fairly easy and the only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver. A bolt goes through the tub into each leg and then a large knob secures the leg to the bolt and is hand tightened. Each leg gets a rubber bumper inserted on the bottom, then plastic covers are screwed over the bolt heads on the inside of the tub. The retaining harness for the dog is attached to the tub with three eye bolts, three large washers and then three large knobs to secure the eye bolts. The only mild difficulty I had was attaching the shampoo holder to the tub, it was kind of hard to insert the last tab and I stress-cracked the tab at the top of the holder. (I called BoosterBath and they are sending me a new holder, good customer service). The drain hose on the XL bath is held in place with a plastic nut, so it will not detach from the tub. The instructions say that it uses a o-ring under the nut but there is not one supplied and the manufacturer says they do not require it anymore, I am not using the drain hose since I use the bath outside. The instructions also say to register your tub, but again the manufacturer says they do not require that to be done either. Getting back to the actual bath, it went very well. My companion was not happy but he was apparently resigned to the experience since he stayed calm and even sat down at times. What used to take 45 minutes to 1 hour of discomfort for both of us now took 1/2 hour and it was painless, at least for me, my dog did not say much. I had also purchase a Eccotemp L5 portable instant water heater so I could use warm water on him and that worked out beautifully.

I purchased this tub to bathe my Aussies, and I am extremely pleased. My largest aussie is 70 lbs. The others are mid 30's. I wanted the larger tub to provide room to turn around for exiting and it amply does. Yes, for plastic material I find it very sturdy. I was missing no pieces, and the delivery was prompt. The harness works wonderfully to hold them in place so long as your dog has experience standing for a bath. One of mine had never been bathed before and began to flip around some. This is correctable with some patience and practice... anything negative here would be a reflection of my dog's inexperience and not anything about this tub. I attached a garden hose to my hot /cold washing machine plumbing using a garden Y extension with shut off valves. I ran the hose through the garage and into the driveway where I successfully bathed four dogs! Two of which had never been bathed before. All of them jumped into the tub after a little training session with getting in without steps. The tool for rinsing is plastic, but it functioned wonderfully. I will, in future, build a small platform to raise it some bc my back did hurt a little the next day from bending over. But again.. I am older and that was a four dogbath afternoon.. no reflection of the product quality or function. On a side note, I did place it in my walk in tile shower and it fit perfectly just in case I were to need to bathe dogs or puppies on a cold or rainy day. This is a product I wish had purchased a long time ago. I would've saved the drains in my tub ( along with my back) and, of course, the very expensive groomer trips. Highly recommend.

Nothing bad to say about this tub. Bought the XL even though my dog is 47 lbs. Better too big than too small. More usable if you end up doing other dogs. .As a groomer I love it. So much like the raised built in tub at work. Drains well & drain hose screws in so it does not fall out. Some people complained about that so they must have changed it to a screw in hose. No missing parts either. I placed it on a level area and it is plenty sturdy. Side walls do flex but this is 20 lbs. Not heavy plastic. For the price and light weight ease I am quite pleased. If you have a wild dog you would do well to have someone with you and that is common sense. The harness works and keeps the pet in place but if they act up and try to leap out...best to have help because this is not a standard raised bathtub against a sturdy wall and not meant to be. It's a great portable tub that saves your back. Love the wide flat wand as well great control with the water. For a light weight portable tub you can't beat it. I read that people with a large heavy dog had to put in a support under the middle between the legs.So far I have not had to do that but a suggestion to the mfg. would be to run steel supports in the plastic base of the tub underneath like some av carts have for heavy monitors.

I used this bath on my 2 golden retrievers today. Bonnie, 8 months and 60lbs, and Freya, 5 months and 40lbs. The extra large was the perfect size, I am glad I went with it instead of the large. I also like how the extra large tub is 1 solid piece where the large is 2 pieces. Both of my dogs tried to exit the tub and the 3 point collar kept them from being able to jump out. The shampoo caddy was very convenient and the drain hose kept my feet dry. I think this would be a great way to use a recirculating bath. My only complaint would be that the bath is a but short and that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I am 5'3 and I still had to bend a bit. I plan on finding a way to raise it about 6 inches and then I believe it will be perfect. Other than the height this product is perfect. Loved it

I have been spending $30 for each of my 115 lb male and 110 lb female Akitas at our local pet food store. $60 a visit! This Booster Bath will pay for itself after 3 baths for each dog. After our first use with the XL Booster Bath, our backs were NOT hurting at all! This tub is already worth the price for not killing our backs. The XL Booster Bath is the perfect height. My wife and I were able to stand on each side of the tub reducing the time to bathe each dog in half. The restraint straps worked perfectly and cleanup was a breeze. I used the included spray wand to rinse out the tub very easily. Love being able to shut off the wand and clip it to the side of the tub. The only negative thing I could say about this tub is the shampoo caddy. It could be a just bit larger. The shape of the caddy barely fits two bottles for a shampoo and a conditioner. I only have one regret. I should have purchased the step stairs accessory. I will be purchasing them before the next bath.

We have two puppies...a minpin and a german shepherd. Trying to bathe these little guys in our bathroom tub was a huge mess and they basically hated it. Knowing how large the GS is going to get, we ordered the X-Large Booster Bath. This tub will definitely accommodate him as an adult. We've bathed both of them twice now...they are finally calm for bathtime...and I say this being the owner of a pup who merely HEARS the word "bathtime" and starts freaking out. Maybe it's the rubberized bottom so they feel secure (genius), or the fact that they are strapped in (more genius), but they just let us bathe them now, no more whining, and it is SO worth the money. We put it on the side yard so we can run a hose from the washer/dryer warm water hook-up. Yes, they still shake and get us wet, but there is no real mess to clean up, we stretch the drain hose to an area of bark so that's no big deal. The unit seems really stable, this one has legs that bolt on so I'm pretty confident that it will withstand their weight as adults. The sprayer is awesome, love the little caddy for shampoo, and would highly recommend this tub for people who want their doggies clean without a hurricane aftermath to clean up. Awesome idea.

Washing our dogs on the grass was a back breaking chore. Fighting them to stay while bathing was a true challenge. Booster bath is tall enough to ease the strain on our backs. I got the steps as a separate purchase. They work but did not lock in to the XL size bath as I thought it would. No biggie as one of our dogs is too spooked to use them anyway. The drain hose is great to control where the water goes to avoid puddling at your feet. The shampoo/hose nozzle holster is awesome. Easy to grab either hose or shampoo in the middle of a wash. The floor board is super grippie so no slippage issues. I have not used the harness yet as my dogs are not skilled enough to leap over/out. I have a 90 lb rottie and a 60 lb collie and the XL is the right size. I think the Large would be too small/tight. The bath is all plastic but very sturdy. I have not had anything to show me that it will collapse during use. Well built and designed.

Absolutely love it! Don’t know why I waited so long to purchase it. Easy to put together. Everything feels secure when washing the dogs. Love the restraint system and caddy for shampoo. Makes washing my dogs easy and safe. No more back pain from bending over. Wish it included stairs as I have large dogs, but my dogs love it and jump right in. Hoping for many years of use.

The 1st tub had a small crack in a seam due to shipping damage (didn’t discover until 4th shepherd was in the tub) however the seller was very prompt and replaced the tub within 3 weeks without hesitation. I have used this new one once again on my 4 shepherds (this time without a leak) and the day was fabulous. The height is perfect to keep from bending over the dogs and not too high that a big dog can’t hop into and out of easily (the stairs would be a hassle in my opinion). The drain easily connects and works exceptionally well, I fully expected clogging of hair but this did not occur even slightly even when connected to the sink drain. The 1st bath went well even though the tub was cracked and we set the tub up inside our porch but the 2nd time the weather was warmer and we set up outside as the tub legs easily disassemble allowing for portability and makes storage much nicer. I am saving $30.00 per dog per wash, plus a drive to town and back, eliminating the chance of my dogs interacting with other dogs and me interacting with other humans, so its a win-win for all, and my tub will be paid for before this summer has ended. My dogs love bathing, I vacuum less, and my back appreciates the rest. You won’t be sorry for this purchase!!
