Can you run unifi video on this device?

Hi, you can but if you were storing the video you would need to put it on a SAN or other storage device. I personally would recommend the Ubiquiti UCK-G2-PLUS UniFi Cloud Key Gen2 WiFi LAN Controller as this has the cloud key and a 1tb drive inbuilt for storing video. Thanks, paul

I don't get the point in this? Is it just a screen to show the wifi speed and how many AP's are connected?

The cloudkeyy acts as a Controller for your Unifi Network. You can log into it on your web browser or use the iOS/Android app to see what is happening, restart devices, check Deep Packet Inspection, see any intrusion attempts etc. Not just when you are at home, but anywhere in the world you can get a signal. Once you go Unifi, you rarely go back to normal consumer grade wifi/networking. Highly recommended.

Do i need to create a Ubiquiti account to use this ?

TomGT is correct. The account is OPTIONAL. Just select "No remote access" and "Local account", and you will be asked to set up a username + password.
