I didn't go out there and test how fire proof it is, but I can tell you it is pretty sturdy, light weight, and can easily hold several folders of important papers. We're using it to hold trust documents and passports. I hope I never have to test the fireproof feature.

Good product for the money. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it's not really non-itch. Possibly compared to other similar products the itch factor is low, but I've not experienced others. Not really a problem for me as I'm not in it that often. Nice and roomy, will hold lots of papers and is long enough for legal size and larger. Seems to be well made, seals up to keep water out. Can't say for sure that it's fireproof, and hope that we never have to find out (LOL)! But that's the main reason I purchased it, so I'm a believer. Received 12 hours after I ordered it ... how did you do that??? Thanks!!

This bag fit everything I need in it and more. I also purchased a separate fire proof bag that fit neatly inside of it for separate documents. The handle on top is very easy to use and it comes with a sturdy strap you can clip on. All size documents, including legal size, fit in it perfectly and even on 5 x 7 spiral notebook.

I received the bag in a timely fashion. I love the size of the bag. I no longer have to fold my documents to store them. Also the bag is very light. No need to worry if I have to pick it up and run. I hope I never have an opportunity to find out if it is really fire proof but it seems like it should be from the material it is made from. The four star rating is due to not being able to test it without perhaps setting my house on fire.

We originally bought a metal box at a discount giant and brought it home. We really wanted paper to be able to be kept flat in it so that we didn't have to fold birth certificates and that sort of thing. File folders would not fit and the box had no handle and was incredibly heavy, so we turned to the internet and found these. We wanted a fairly big item because our important papers were already stored in a plastic accordion folder and we hoped the whole folder would fit. It did, but just barely, so we are happy with it. Some reviews of other products complained of itching while handling it (I'm sure because of the fiberglass that makes it fireproof), but this one is coated with something a little rubber-like, so no itching. It has a handle and a strap, so it can easily be moved and it's obviously not the least bit heavy. We ordered this one not only because of the size, but also because it had one of the highest heat ratings. Overall, we are very pleased. We even have given one as a gift and will probably do that again.

What a perfect alternative to a safe deposit box. Keeps your important documents safe from fire, but convenient whenever you need them. Large enough for quite a few file folders and a great place for thumb drives of important photos, data backup, etc.

I won't know if it works until there is a fire.

It's the perfect size for what I need, that is transferring file folders from home to church. I'm the board secretary, and according to our bylaws, files have to be kept in a fire-proof cabinet. We don't have one of those, but I decided to try this. It's light weight, has a shoulder strap, and is the size of a large briefcase. I'm very happy with my choice. Although I hope never to find out if it really is fireproof!
