What material are the sissors made of?

Pls note the shears are made of 100% Food Grade Stainless Steel.Wipe off the water after use.

They are made in China - it says so on the box, in print, right under the UPC symbol. But it doesn't say that anywhere on the scissors themselves or the sheath, not that I could find, anyway.

Can these also be used to cut paper or open packages without dulling the blades?

I think any scissors will dull from opening the parcels because it contains the glue that remains on them. But you can safely cut sheets and paper. True, these scissors are rougher than stationery, because they are designed for the kitchen, but sharp enough

Do the scissors seperate for cleaning?

I have the orange pair with the black button, and they do NOT separate. Too bad because blades are loose and don't touch, so they're useless for cutting into plastic bags of frozen foods, etc. Try to find a customer support number. Good luck.
