Rapid Power Plus

Bought this from Amazon after visiting Curry's and seeing that just the machine was £199 with no added extras. The package from Amazon was far superior and incredible value for money - paid £152 ish for the machine and two packs of cleaning solution that was over £50 worth in Curry's. The machine itself is easy to put together, and use. Once you get the hang of washing and rinsing its a breeze and the carpets came up quite well tbh. I havent cleaned my carpets for years and it has given them the lift they needed. Brought the pile up too. It didnt soak them as i thought it would and by the next morning they were totally dry (i started cleaning at 10pm!). My only issue is that when you have finished the clean when you switch off the machine for some reason it seems to drip or leak a bit of dirty water on your clean carpet, this is really annoying! So i keep it going and drag it onto a hard floor to mop up after. Not sure why it does it but hey. It can be quite heavy when the tanks are full but easy to empty and straight forward, but grateful for the large tank rather than a machine with a small one. On my beige carpets around the skirting there is dark marks on the carpets, i can only think that this is from the dust blowing up under the floorboard edges, the cleaner has not removed this - its a shame as thats what i really bought it to tackle. I will try the hand held tools to see if it will clean it better that way. Overall, I am happy with the machine for what it has done to the main carpets and think I might reclean again next month or something. I also feel better for knowing the carpets have been refreshed and are not so filthy - the dirt that it pulls off will make you feel dirty.

I ordered this machine after looking at a few different brands, reading the reviews and researching online for tried user tests aswell. I already own a Bissel Little Green which has been a life saver. I now have a dog as well as a cat, and over the years my 90% wool blend landing carpet has taken a beating. I had the carpets professionally steam cleaned in 2022 at a cost, only €30 less than this machine. The before picture shows how my carpets looked just 2 months after this 'professional steam clean'. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. Lots of detergent residue left in the carpets, which attracted dirt (I have a gorgeous spaniel diva to thank for that!), and left the circular marks showing where the residue is. So today I finally got my self motivated to clean the carpets. I started with a rinse cycle as I had strayed the areas with a stain remover and urine neutraliser. I then put the machine to deep clean, with the Vax shampoo solution. I rinse this until the water was no longer soapy. The carpets are quite wet, but I don't mind that. All the windows are open this time of the year anyway. I'll post an update as the carpets dry. Very easy machine to use. It is a bit heavy when full of clean water, but it's manageable. Definite move the machine slowly over the carpets, slower than vacuuming, as the brushes have longer to agitate the stain/mark and deep cleaned. My machine picked up hair, grit, dirt....so much hair. It's a bit disgusting when you realise how much dirt is in the carpets. But very satisfied with the ease of use, effectiveness, quality, and price point. I would definitely recommend this machine. Especially to pet owners. Don't hesitate; just buy it!

I'm not going to repeat what other reviewers have said, that would be tedious. I'm just going to add my own 2 cents: Firstly, you have to go slow going forwards. Dead slow, while spraying the solution in bursts. I found that wiggling the whole cleaner side to side while doing this gave the best results. This is because my 7 year old carpet which has never been washed wasn't only looking dark in patches, the pile was also flattened out. I cleaned it by the book when I first got it, but was less than satisfied. It was still a bit dirty and the pile in the carpet was more noticeably worn in places. Wiggling it side to side with a second go the next day brought it back to life. I also made the water a bit hotter (have to be careful it doesn't approach boiling or it will damage it). And going over everywhere again with it on the rinse cycle may have helped. Not only has the colour returned after this, but the pile is much better. It might be the hard side brushes dragging over it sideways that helped get the solution into the pile, I will certainly use this technique from now on. as my carpet is like new. On the downside, the solution is expensive as it doesn't last long. It's also not good at removing stains at all, and seems to struggle on long pile carpets such as my bedroom. It didn't want to pick up the solution and dry it out in places and I had to push the whole thing into the carpet while dragging it across it. Also, the spinscrub brush works well on things like a fabric sofa, but takes some work. Probably not as much as manual brushing though. In all, it's a pleasure to use being that everything is perfectly made for disassembly and cleaning real quick & easy.

We needed a carpet cleaner as our puppy kept peeing on the carpet after his castration, after reading the reviews I thought I'd give it ago! Building it was easy, comes with a good set of accessories, as well as a bottle of Pre Wash, post wash and solution, although small bottles saves spending more money the first time you use it. The cable & accessory hose are a good length aswell. The handheld for upholstery is really good. As you can see the amount of dirt that come up on the first go was mad, I've attached a before and after picture of my carpet where he kept peeing. The tank is also really easy to take out, pull apart and clean & holds a lot of liquid! Would quite easily of done my whole downstairs! Only downside is the part that pulls down on the machine itself(when you tilt it) could be a bit sturdier(not that flimsy that I'd decudt a star) but overall I'm really happy with how the product has worked and would definitely recommend. I actually think it's better than some of Rug Doctors out there, we'd previously hired a r ug doctor when we first moved in to the house and this has brought the carpet up far better even when it's more soiled!

Purchased this as from Amazon warehouse, it's a carpet cleaner and I really don't mind if it has a scuff or a box that has been bashed a bit. As it turned out the box had a hole in it and the machine inside was perfect. Setup was simple, added warm water, added cleaning solution (will be switching brands of cleaner) and quickly figured out how to attach the hose. This unit is heavy with water in it, but that should not be a surprise, what is important is that it holds a lot of clean water so you can easily do a whole room without any hassle. It's not meant to be used like a hoover other than you drag it across the carpet. Clear the area to be cleaned and then do nice slow stripes over the carpet - push forwards and squirt, then drag slowly back over the same line. Move over to a fresh bit of carpet and repeat. Immediately noticed the quantity of water being sucked up out of the carpet - very impressive given the semi industrial machines I have used in the past. Also noticed that this machine warms the carpet as you drag it back. Now for the quirk, if you notice that it's not sucking up much water then switch the machine off and on again. It means that the dirty water blue plunger has activated. Once activated it wont suck any more water. This can happen in a few ways, too much dirty water in the tank - in which case empty it. If the front of the machine loses contact with the floor and finally if the filter sock around the blue plunger is not fitted properly. Take time and ensure that the filter sock is seated as well as possible - it will make all the difference. With the cleaning solution supplied I was able to do all carpters in the house including the stair carpet. However, I have gone an bought a different solution as the Vax cleaning solution is just too expensive: Dirtbusters pet carpet cleaner 5 litre professional carpet, its a fraction of the price when you consider that you water it down 50/50 before even adding it to the machine - and it smells great. Last tip, buy this model if you have stair carpets - the oscillation brush head is worth the extra money. Finally, as with all machines, keep the brush heads clean. The cleaner you keep the machine the better the results.

I used to have a bissell spot clean and that at the time cost me the same amount as this vax...it was a fantastic wee machine but no way on gods green earth would I fancy doing an entire room with it! So I bit the bullet and bought the vax (rehoming my bissell to my very happy mother!) And am I soooo glad I did. This machine, now affectionately called the beast is fantastic! I had cleaned the rug in the photos about 3 weeks prior to getting the vax and it came up beautifully with the bissell, however my dogue de bordeaux thinks its comfier than her huge bed! After the park she'd roll about on my rugs, grrrr! The vax made short work of getting out all those muddy stains and dog smells. It's come up like new. The machine itself is pretty heavy not gonna lie, I have fibromyalgia so was worried I'd struggle to use it but I took my time and it's really just like using a hoover, there's no real strain to it. I found the slower I went actually the better the results. It has fantastic suction so my rugs were dry pretty quickly. I have a huge living room rug which has an 8cm deep pile, after the dog widdled on it I genuinely thought I'd have to bin it, but I did the underside first and the stains came out no probs, then did the top side to make sure I'd gotten all the mess up, it looks 100% now. I ended up with a blister on my thumb from using it so much lol. I'm not one for physical exertion but it's really a marvel to watch the results. I'll be using this regularly from now on, knowing the muck the dogs bring in and knowing how much this machine removes. It is absolutely worth the money, so go for it you won't regret it. I also bought a urine removing shampoo (5litre for £20) just to make sure I got rid of the smells, both of these items are a must have if you have pets. The reviews are spot on, and I am over the moon with the results. Brilliant!!!
