4 Pack Travel Bugs

This is such a cool investment and it is totally the next step while geocaching! So far I have attached one of these to a flag and it is half way across the country right now. I love seeing where my travel bug goes next, it just reminds me that adventure is out there and hopefully one day I can go to some of the places that my travel bugs have went. These tags are good because each come with two tags, one for you to keep and one for you to let loose into the wild. It also comes with a chain to attach to a souvenir if you would like. I definitely recommend this travel bug 4 pack to anybody who is interested in releasing travel bugs into the world.

This is a great product and a fairly decent deal. I purchased it because I was going on vacation and I figured I would drop a few in other states. Unfortunately, I was fooled into paying for expedited shipping as it sais 1 to 3 day shipping. It was an extra 8 dollars for the shipping. :( I ordered it on a monday, and it was not on my porch until the following wednesday. I was highly dissapointed! I would however recommend this product as it is a good deal.

I purchased these travel bugs for my mom for her birthday. My mom LOVES geocaching. I mean, it's an obsession. We cannot take a trip to the grocery store a mile away without her wanting to hunt a geocache. As we're driving on the highway around town, she will point out various geocaches we've already found and then wonder about all the new ones that have popped up since the last time we made the rounds. A couple years ago, we started discovering trackables. It made the caches more interesting. A little tag on a toy or a code on a medallion to track online adds just one more layer of fun to this enjoyable pastime. Since my mom was such a fan of spreading travel bugs (even geocaching in Hawaii on my parents' anniversary trip, much to my dad's chagrin!), I thought it would be fun for her to get her own bugs to watch travel the globe. Needless to say, she was thrilled! These came individually wrapped. The tag to attach to the swag to release, a copy tag to keep at home for reference, a sturdy ball chain to attach to the swag, and easy activation instructions were all included. Mom has already purchased little "friends" to travel the globe attached to these tags and has activated them. Now, she's busy plotting where to release them into the wild. Best. Present. Ever.

...this is a great value. Inspiration for a trackable may strike at any time once you get started in this aspect of geocaching, so it never hurts to have one handy! I just bought my second set, after using the last one from the first set to create & place a trackable while on vacation. I took it just in case, and was glad I did! The travels of my trackables has been my favorite part of geocaching these last two years.

I purchased this 4 pack as a stocking stuffer for my family. We love finding travel bugs when we are searching for geocaches. My older son, who is 6, is starting to be interested in geography. I thought it would be fun for us as a family to each have our own travel bug and watch where it goes, or doesn't. Geocaching has been an AWESOME activity for us a family to be outside, get exercise and explore nature. When we travel there is always a geocache nearby for us to find during vacation down time or waiting around. These bugs are just going to take it up a level for us.

Arrived on time and in good shape. Have activated 3 of the 4 so far with no issues whatever. The activation site recognized the ID numbers and unlock code provided with the tags. Those three now each have a page on the Geocaching site for logging activity by those who find my Trackables, all created automatically when I activated them. There's a nice long piece of bead chain (with connector) included with each tag. I attach an object and a laminated card with info to each before I drop them and the bead chain (shortened) works well for that. I "seal" the bead chain connector with UV-curing glue - not foolproof, but will prevent it coming apart accidentally.

One of my tb's came without a number! Only discovered that fact after I went to sell one to another cacher who needed one asap. Make sure you check them over after you get it in the mail.

These can be purchased at plenty of places, but this item is cool and fun to track online. Not much else to say.
