Ceiling Fan Switch that is easy to replace

This universal ceiling fan switch works!
So my 10+ year old ceiling fan chain broke and I found this replacement - it works perfectly! Was easy to install. The only caveat is that the chain is super short. So you'll have to get an adapter to attach it to the original chain on the ceiling fan.

Easy replacement
It was quite easy to replace the broken pull switch on my Hunter ceiling fan. The pull action, however, does not feel smooth and requires more force than I think is optimal.

These work
These work well for Hampton Bay ceiling fans. Yes there are no instructions, the best hint you will get is the diagram available here. So, best practice look at the connections on the one you are replacing, there is one power, make sure that is connected where the diagram shows, third push connect when flat side of switch is down, the other three are for the wires connected to the capacitor, they control the three speeds. Connect the three wires for speed if you want it to work properly exactly as originally connected, taking into account the one power wire connection. Once you have determined where the wires go from the old switch take a picture if needed. the easiest way to access the wires is to use pliers to loosen the three pull tabs and remove the bottom half of the switch, green. the wires will remain attached to the top, black half of the switch. You can then pull each wire one at a time to remove from the old switch to attach to the new switch without having to strip the wire, as it will already be stripped. Just attach each wire one at a time and BAM good to go. Reconnect to test, mine worked perfectly. Nice price for a good quality, working replacement switch.
